Il Feuduccio: Montepulciano d’Abruzzo “Fonte Venna” DOC
“In 1601, Il Feuduccio was a baronial domain and the Venna stream (fonte) provided all-important nourishment for the local farmers. In their honor and in celebration of the daily labor of love of abruzzese farming, we called our 100% Montepulciano d’Abruzzo Fonte Venna.” The words and the speaker exude warmth and animation: Laura Lamaletto, commercial director and mother of four, considers the newcomer to the Feuduccio range as one more of her “babies”. This characterful red is very like Laura herself - bursting with personality and joie de vivre. Intense ruby in color, its spicy, berry and red fruit bouquet is confirmed on a structured, persistent palate.
Il Feuduccio: Montepulciano d’Abruzzo “Il Feuduccio” DOC
100% varietal; fleshy, complex, beautifully structured, it packs amazing impact in flavor, breeding and fruit. This was the winery’s first Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, hence the decision to name it after the estate. Production - from vineyard management to cellar practices - is totally respectful of the enviroment. The ensuing quality expresses the exceptional features of this amazing area between Mount Maiella and the Adriatic sea. The Lamalettos chose to keep outside intervention to a minimum. The wine is therefore unfiltered.
Il Feuduccio: Montepulciano d’Abruzzo Riserva “Ursonia” DOC
100% indigenous Montepulciano, Abruzzi’s structured yet supple red grape. This fabulous, high-rising terrain and the variety’s intrinsic nobility yield majestic body and depth, mellow roundness, fleshy complexity and ample, layered flavors. Its name derives from the area’s ancient Latin denomination (Ursonia, which later became Orsogna). Severe grape selection, outstanding elegance.
Il Feuduccio: Montepulciano d’Abruzzo “Margae” DOC
Pinnacle of production, exuding class, complexity and breeding, the wine name is an acronym of MARia and GAEtano Lamaletto. Terroir and heritage speak up in fleshy, layered accents; magnitude meets elegance, fruit marries subtle, spicy nuances. In order to minimize outside intervention, the wine is unfiltered.
